These courses will focus on a particular subject for the entire duration of the class.
Avoid choosing Pistol 1 (for example) solely for consistent & quick draws. A Skill Builder course is more suitable for honing that skill.
DRAWING FROM THE HOLSTER
Prerequisites: Safe manipulation of your weapon shall be 2nd nature and done with competence.
Topics to be covered:
- Holster location considerations
- Concealed vs open-carry holsters
- Draw process
- Balancing speed & consistency
What to bring*:
- Modern semi-automatic pistol & ammo (no micro or pocket pistols)
- A good holster that covers trigger guard (No leather, nylon or serpa holsters)
- Eye & ear protection (Mandatory)
- Sturdy belt
- Weather appropriate footwear and clothing.
- Water and snacks

ACQUIRING THE RED DOT (PISTOL)
Prerequisites: Safe manipulation of your weapon shall be 2nd nature and done with competence.
Topics to be covered:
- Optic > Iron Sights
- Sight presentation & target focus
- Speed vs Distance
- How to stay consistent
What to bring*:
- Modern semi-automatic pistol & ammo (no micro or pocket pistols)
- A properly zeroed optic
- Eye & Ear protection (Mandatory) [electronic ear protection recommended]
- Fresh batteries for the optic
- Weather appropriate footwear and clothing.
- Water and snacks

RECOIL MANAGEMENT
Prerequisites: Safe manipulation of your weapon shall be 2nd nature and done with competence.

- Recoil misconceptions
- Defeating anticipation
- How to manage recoil
- Speed vs Accuracy

- Modern semi-automatic pistol & ammo (no micro or pocket pistols)
- Eye & Eye protection (Mandatory) [electronic ear protection recommended]
- At least 3 magazines
- Sturdy belt
- Appropriate footwear and clothing.
